Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 13: Curtains

5 second plot: The butterfly comes out of the cocoon in the mini dome. The mini and maxi dome turn completely black. The 'owners' of the dome appear and do not really clear anything up. They just ask the people to protect the black egg. And then there is Big Jim that really really really wants to see Barbie dead.

5 second review: The episode is okay: there is a lot of interesting stuff going on with the dome. The whole Big Jim craziness however is getting on my nerves. And as a season finale? It really is a big pile of bullshit.  The season feels like a complete waste of time. The viewers should had gotten some closure as a reward for their patience.

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 12: Exigent Circumstances

5 second plot: What a mess... Big Jim is almost at a point where he has to kill the whole town to cover up his wrongdoings. And he has to keep the dome in place because the people outside seem to know what he did. Let's just hope the dome lays its egg in the final episode.

5 second review: You can feel that the source material is really good, but I do not see it on the screen. It's dumb, not convincing, too easy and it all builds up to a whole lot of nothing. Let's just hope the season finale will not end with a cliffhanger next week. My patience needs to be rewarded. Or it will snap.

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 11: Speak of the Devil

5 second plot: Big Jim wants to pick a fight with ... well, everybody, so it seems. Hopefully the dome will not take crap from no-one and deal with him. Or will the dome force the four horsemen (and -women) to do its dirty work?

5 second review: The first half of the episode is a bit boring (yawn) and dumb (She finds her mom by accident? Come on.) But then the cool stuff with the dome starts (the tornado!). And a bit later some very intriguing stuff with the dome develops. Alrighty!

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 10: Let the Games Begin

5 second plot: Big Jim covers one track, but another uncovered track pops up. Barbie finds himself in the same position but chooses a better way out. And the three pink star kids find their fourth hand.

5 second review: The whole underground fighting-subplot is not convincing at all and is seriously dumb. And what happened to the bra's under the dome? Nobody in the production department noticed? Because I think all the viewers did.

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 9: The Fourth Hand

5 second plot: Big Jim convinces everyone to turn in their weapons. But, as always, he has a hidden agenda. He and Barbie seem to be puppets on a string for the new boss in town. The sheriff is trying to figure out what's going on with the propane. And someone else is seeing pink stars.

5 second review: Finally, some interesting stuff with the dome. And a new interesting character. I like where it is going, but I'm still not entirely convinced it's going somewhere interesting.

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 8: Thicker Than Water

5 second plot: The town gets ready to rumble over the only source of water. Things spiral seriously out of control and again: people die. Junior switches sides more than a baby changes its diaper.

5 second review: I like the mysterious side of the show, but everything else feels like one big mess. Things simply don't add up.

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 7: Imperfect Circles

5 second plot: The kids with the pink stars find the center of the dome. The first dome-baby is born. The killer brothers get caught. Someone tries to mess around with Big Jim. Bad idea. And we have a tragic death.

5 second review: It's a sad sad sad episode. I don't like sad.

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 6: The Endless Thirst

5 second plot: Everyone's suddenly scared that they will run out of supplies, like water and food. So they start fighting each other. Just as things get really out of hand, it starts raining. The two kids with the pink stars are transmitting some sort of radio wave.

5 second review: I finally know what's wrong with the reporter. She's got a really boring voice. The rest was okay this episode, but not very much is going on. Except for the riots, the killings and the back stabbing.

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 5: Blue on Blue

5 second plot: The government is dropping a huge bomb on the dome. I don't know what they were thinking but their plan backfires a tad.

5 second review: Besides from the cool view on the obliterated surroundings of the dome, this was a very stupid episode. Bad acting, ridiculously unbelievable side stories, and what's up with the journalism? No one cares.

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 4: Outbreak

5 second plot: Half the town suddenly gets meningitis and the antibiotics (and not to forget: doctors to treat the sick) are running low. Barbie has to confess half and half that he knew Julia's husband. Junior's prisoner tries to escape a couple of times. Most of the people stuck under the dome are becoming very impatient. And a lot of people die every episode, come to think of it.

5 second review: This was a good one, you could almost feel how scary it must be to be trapped for god knows how long with limited supplies. A lot of seriously bad things can happen. Especially if you're trapped with the wrong kind of people.

IMDb score: 7,5/10
Our score: 8/10

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 3: Manhunt

5 second plot: A cop goes crazy, accidentally shoots another cop and runs. So now he has a search party on his tail. There is a new sheriff in town. Because there is only one cop left. Big Jim tries to run the show as much as possible. Junior tries a new way out from under the dome. Barbie is getting on the wrong page with a lot of people.

5 second review: It's mostly about Big Jim, this episode. And it's a lot of talking and not a lot of action. A little bit boring, actually. And the little bit of action is always interrupted by someone who wants to talk about non relevant stuff. Weird. Not in a good way.

IMDb score: 6,8/10

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 2: The Fire

5 second plot: The police department takes a big blow. Big Jim is trying to cover up his tracks, but we still don't know what he is trying to hide. Junior still has his 'girlfriend' locked up and is going psycho. The rest of the citizens are trying to figure out what to do. Barbie steps up: he seems to be the one to root for to save the day. Oh yeah: and there is a fire. And the fire department is on the other side.

5 second review: There is a lot of very interesting ground to explore here. And the writers are taking their time to reveal what's going on. And that's okay. For now, it still is everything I was expecting it to be.

IMDb score: 7,7/10
Our score: 9/10

Under the Dome Season 1 Episode 1: Pilot

5 second plot: The small town of Chester's Mill suddenly gets stuck under what appears to be a giant dome. Nothing can get through, not even sound. Everybody tries to figure out what's going on.

5 second review: This is really exciting. Based on a novel by Steven King apparently. Lots of spectacular incidents when the dome lands (like a cow that gets split in half) and lots of spectacular crashes into the dome. Very promising.

Our score: 9/10
