5 second plot: It's the true story of a Polish man who hides a group of Jewish refugees in the sewers in World War II.
5 second review: It's gruesome. It made me gasp for air a couple of times. Quite an achievement for a filmmaker, if you can grab people by the throat and make them remember not to forget this horrible recent past.

5 second plot: George Valentin is a big movie star in silent movies. He meets a beautiful young dancer at the start of her career. When silent movies become talkies she rises to stardom but George's star slowly fades.
5 second review: How in the world does a movie idea like this get picked up by a production company? And who in the world would expect this movie to do this well? I would not have guessed it in a million years. It's weird, because it's a silent movie about the birth of talking movies. But it's lovely. And Peppy is such a sweetheart. I love her.

5 second plot: A family (wife, cheating husband and daughter) move into a haunted house, known as 'murder house' (because... well... a lot of murders took place there). All the spirits of all the deceased are still floating around and make the life of the family quite difficult.
5 second review: It's pretty well done, this show. You would think it would become boring very fast, but that's not the case. It stays quite interesting the whole time. But, you have to be willing to go with the flow, because the shit they pull with ghosts and spirits and god and the devil... is pretty crazy.

5 second plot: Well, Charlie is dead. Long live Walden. Alan gets serious with Lindsey. Her son is Jake's best friend. These two boneheads are as dumb as it can get. Walden divources and gets serious a bit later with British Zoey. And somewhere along the line Walden finds out his brother is a gorilla.
5 second review: It is brilliantly funny again. Ashton Kutcher is the best. It is kind of a strange situation with Alan not being family and living in Walden's house. The throwing up episode is a classic. Tears in my eyes.

5 second plot: The 4th season starts with a big underwater battle. Then C3PO and R2D2 have some adventures on their own. Followed by a disastrous mission on a dark planet due to a jedi general gone mad. Then slave handlers piss Anakin off. And he even gets more angry when someone kills Obi-Wan. The season ends with Darth Maul and his brother vs Obi-Wan (he's not really dead you know) and Ventress.
5 second review: There's some cool new stuff, awesome warriors, great light-saber fights and space-battles but the best part is seeing Anakin lose it. We all know how where he's headed. Grievous pops up a lot since he's a great villain. Jar Jar is still annoying. And there's a lot of 'I feel a disturbance in the force' going about.

5 second plot: The origin story of comedian Kevin Hart plus his stand up comedy show 'Laugh at My Pain' and a sketch where he and his crew rob a bank.
5 second review: He is a really funny guy so this is of course a really funny movie. But there are also a lot of emotions. And that's not necessary for me. But it is probably stuff that needed to be said.
IMDb score: 6,8/10

5 second plot: Two brothers enter a mixed martial arts contest where the world's best fighters will compete. They both had a very tough childhood with an abusive alcoholic father. The youngest one, Tommy, is like a raging bull in the ring. The oldest one, Brendan, is a school teacher in real life. He needs the price money, or his family will lose their house.
5 second review: This movie is so good, it's not normal. The fights will get your heart pumping, the emotions will get your heart bleeding. Everyone involved is amazing. And Tom Hardy even tops those amazing performances. You can almost feel his anger. This is a straight A.

5 second plot: Earth has been overrun by ugly skitter aliens. Most of humanity has been wiped out, but there are a couple of resistance groups. At first they are mostly on the run, but after a while they try to fight back.
5 second review: I didn't like this series at first, because the CGI is very poor in the first episodes and the story is pretty depressing. But after a while it gets better and by the final episode it focuses on the lurking danger and the fighting back. So now the second season can not come quickly enough.

5 second plot: Walt and Jessy are cooking meth on a very large scale for the biggest player on the market. He is, so they find out pretty quickly, a psychopathic nutcase that does not like to be cornered. Most of the season the lives of our two 'heroes' are in jeopardy. And they try to figure a way out of the mess.
5 second review: The season starts off slowly (a bit boring). But then it gets funny (you know: a lighter touch). And after the funny business it gets really interesting. And by the end of the season the tension rises so high that there seems to be now way they can pull off a good season finale. And it's true, it's not good: it's great.

5 second plot: A brother and a sister, twins, try to fulfill their mother's last wish by looking for their father and brother. They didn't even know they existed (or were alive). This quest takes them to their mother's birth place in the Middle East. They find out a lot more about their family history then they expected.
5 second review: The story unravels like a Hitchcock thriller. At first it's difficult to get used to the non-linear story telling, but after a while it makes it even more interesting. The end is a long shot, but still, there is an amazing storyteller at work here. What a fantastic movie.
