Seinfeld Season 2 is... well... really funny

5 second plot: Jerry gets an old lady killed by making a smart ass remark about her pony. George leaves a crazy message on a woman's answering machine and tries to get it erased. He also snaps over a toilet memo at his office and quits his job, only to realize that it might have been a mistake. The gang tries to get a table at a Chinese restaurant.

5 second review: These guys (and girl) get into awkward but every day situations that are simply funny because they point out the obvious. They are like a walking and talking stand up comedy show. They get into these situations because they seem to be the only normal people around.

Seinfeld Season 1 is a good start

5 second plot: In this very short first season Jerry meets a beautiful woman and then stakes out her work, tries to find a new apartment, tries to break up with a guy-friend and tries his luck on the stock exchange.

5 second review: I love the entire formula of Seinfeld. The stand-up bits, all the characters, the every day stories,... it's a perfect formula for lots of fun. And it's timeless. It's classic stuff. Already from the get-go.

Nightbreed Director's Cut is spectacular

5 second plot: Boone dreams about a place called Midian. When he goes to this place in his dreams he's always seeing monsters. He thinks he's losing mind until one day someone shows him the way. He finds out that this place is for real. And he has to go there to fulfill his destiny.

5 second review: Cronenberg is terrible in his role as the doctor. The story doesn't start off as coherent as it should. But it gets better as it moves along. If you're a fan of monster movies, this one's for you. There is an awesome display of creatures in here. The gore is also pretty neat. And towards the end it gets really spectacular.

Akira is pretty awesome

5 second plot: It's 2019, 30 years after WWIII and we're in New Tokyo. Tetsuo, a member of a bike gang, is kidnapped by the military. They want to test superpowers on him. But he turns into an unstoppable super villain and starts killing people and destroying the city. It's up to the military and his bike friends to find a way out of the mess. But the mess just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

5 second review: This is an amazing movie. Visually stunning and a very powerful story. I always wonder how in earth movies like these can get made. It's awesome that someone was able to persuade someone else to get to make this. Because it must have sounded far fetched as an idea, but as a movie, it's legen ... (wfi) dary.

They Live has got great aliens

5 second plot: A lonesome cowboy comes to town looking for a job and a place to stay. He stumbles upon a box of special sunglasses. If you put them on, you see the world as it really is: ruled by ugly ass aliens. The time has come to fight back.

5 second review: The aliens are truly legendary classic cult stuff, but the movie itself sucks big time. The problem is that there is simply not very much going on. The biggest action sequence is a fight between the two guys that will be working together to bring down the aliens. And this fight just keeps on going and going up to a point where it gets ridiculous.

Grave of the Fireflies is almost unbearable to watch

5 second plot: A young boy is left with the care of his baby sister in World War II Japan. They are forsaken by everyone, have no home and have a hard time trying to survive.

5 second review: You know upfront the kids are going to die, but still, the hard life these kids have to live and suffer and then the little girl getting sick... My hart almost snapped in two pieces. It's one of the saddest movies I have ever seen in my life. Just horrible.

Nekromantik is really gross

5 second plot: A guy really loves his job cleaning up crime or accident scenes. He has to clean up the dead people. What he really enjoys is bringing home some souvenirs: pieces of dead people. One day he really surprises his girlfriend when he brings home an entire dead corpse. His girlfriend is really turned on by this. And so is he.

5 second review: I don't know about you but I think licking a decaying corpse is extremely gross. I tried to figure out what sick mind would think of making a movie like this, but I guess it's just pure and simple gore-shock. This is not for everyone. And if you didn't figure it out already: the quality of the movie and the acting is awful. Oh yeah: and it's in German.

Near Dark is a must see for vampire lovers

5 second plot: Caleb is accidentally (sort of) bitten by a pretty vampire girl. He starts turning into a vampire himself and will have to follow the rules of vampire girl's pack if he wants to survive. But he's not ready to give up his humanity just yet.

5 second review: This movie's got a couple of very memorable scenes. If you're a fan of horror and/or vampire movies, this is definitely a must see. Or if you're a fan of Kathryn Bigelow. She was in the director's chair. No way. Yes way. Also for the books: they figure out a way to reverse the vampire process and turn vampires back into humans! Really!

Invaders from Mars is pretty ludicrous

5 second plot: When aliens land in young David's backyard and start taking over human bodies (and minds), it's up to him to save the day. The problem is that no-one believes him.

5 second review: They certainly did try to make an awesome movie. But it's not very spectacular, the effects are ridiculous and the action sequences are ludicrous. But if you're into that, this is definitely a must see.

Ran takes it too far

5 second plot: In good old Japan a great lord decides to retire. He puts his oldest son in charge. It does not take long for all his hard work (deceiving and killing with the sole purpose to conquer more land) to go down the shitter as his sons screw up and ghosts from the past come to haunt him.

5 second review: I simply don't understand the culture. I looks funny. The customs. The shouting. The drama. The hair... The old man looks horribly overdone by the make-up department. We get it: he doesn't feel well. No need to make him look like a clown. Talking of which: that clown must be one of the most annoying characters in movie history.
