The Flash Season 1 Episode 3: Things You Can't Outrun

5 second plot: This time The Flash is up against meta-human The Mist. This is a guy that kills people by changing himself into poisonous gas. The Star Lab team finally realizes they need a special prison. They've got a great basement to fit it in. But that means going back to a place filled with terrible memories.

5 second review: Will it always be a fight with a meta-human? Because I think we need a bit more variation. By the way: 'the win' is a bit meager this time. Their prison system is not very practical. How are they going to feed these super-villains? Is it okay to put them in a cage without a trial? What's up with the Star Lab boss? It's a bit much. Lots of questions, but I'm still liking it.

The Flash Season 1 Episode 2: Fastest Man Alive

5 second plot: Barry gets to save lives and be a hero. Like saving people from a burning building for instance. He's so fast no-one notices what happens. On his 'normal' job he's got to investigate a robbery. Apparently there's another not so friendly meta-human at work (one that can duplicate himself) who wants a rich and famous scientist dead.

5 second review: I love the team behind the flash. They are very complementary and it's great to see them have fun. You know, with him being so fast and all. It's becoming a pattern that the bad guys have to die at the end of the episode. I guess they haven't yet figured out how a prison would work for these meta-humans.

The Flash Season 1 Episode 1: City of Heroes

5 second plot: Barry is a normal guy, working for the police as a forensics expert. He's kind of clumsy, always bumping into other people, always being late. Then something happens that puts him in a coma for 9 months. When he wakes up, he can run really really really really fast. There are others like him that use their powers to do bad things and he makes it his business to stop them.

5 second review: This show is different from most superpower themed shows we've seen recently. It's 'light'. The show doesn't feel the need to be dark. It just wants to have fun exploring these cool superpowers. And that's great. It works perfectly for this character. A thumbs up from me.
