But no wait, they aren't. Oh flash forward some more: the mom gets sick and dies. And old Ted asks his kids permission to pursue Robin.

5 second review: I don't know if I like the negative spiral these final episodes went in... Wait, I do know. It kind of screws up the entire show. This ending sucks. She gets sick? And dies? I don't think they could had screwed this ending up more then they did. They officially blew it.

5 second plot: It's half an hour before the wedding and, of course, Barney and Robin are getting cold feet. Robin even wants to elope with Ted for a second. And Marshall and Lily renew their vows. Because apparently they have broken all their first ones.

5 second review: It's a typical great How I Met Your Mother episode, with lots of laughs but also lots of emotions and surprises. Everything is nicely buttoned up: Robin gets the locket, the slap bet is over,... The next episode is the final one (in two parts), how about that?

5 second plot: Three days after the wedding Ted is on a first date with The Mom and he tells the story of Gary Blauman. He was invited to the wedding but didn't have a place to sit. Everyone had an opinion about him: you either loved him or you hated him.

5 second review: Now that was a classic How I Met Your Mother funny episode. Quick, smart, loving, warm,... and a happy ending: I loved it. What's that I hear about a spin off? How I Met Your Dad? That's not a bad idea, right? A fresh take on the tale.

5 second plot: Robin's mom arrived at the wedding. She wants to meet Barney. But he's out solving a mystery with the boys. Apparently Lily is hiding a big secret.

5 second review: Why would Lily not tell her husband her secret? That seems weird to me. Aside from that, this was a pretty good episode with some great old familiar faces. Only 2 more episodes left! It feels very strange that it's going to end soon.

5 second plot: We're in the future. And Ted and the Mom have a flashback to today. Well, the wedding day, that is. The gang watches The Wedding Bride Too, the movie based on (an evil) Ted. And Ted helps Barney pick out a suit. But that's not an easy job. Meanwhile Scherbatski doesn't seem to be able to get emotional on her wedding day. Which annoys Lily a little bit.

5 second review: Ted is crying, flashing forward to flash back, not very much new going on,... There are only 3 more episodes to go. Surely it must be possible to do better than this. Get to it!

5 second review: Barney's adventure is fun stuff. But Marshall and Ted's isn't. Stop wining already.

How I Met Your Mother Season 9 Episode 16: How Your Mother Met Me

5 second plot: This episode is a string of flash-backs of every time Ted and the mom met each other (or caught a glimpse of each other, or almost met each other) over the years.

5 second review: This is an episode for the experienced How I Met Your Mother-viewer. They often do these flashbacks, but this one is different: it feels fresh and it's really cute and fun to watch. It reminded why I love this show so much. Because we have to admit that it hasn't been much fun lately. Hopefully now we're back in business.

5 second plot: Barney is 'truth serum drunk'. So Ted and Robin ask him a whole bunch of interesting questions. Marshall would like to keep the 'pause' in the big fight going as long as possible. But in the end, all hell breaks loose.

5 second review: The Barney truth part is pretty funny, but it's a round up of previous events again. Nothing new. The fight between Marshall and Lily is not fun at all. Too much drama, if you ask me.

5 second review: This is a really crazy episode. When did this show stop going in a certain direction? I'm not sure if I like it or not... It's definitely really funny. But it has got nothing to do with the story. Are they running out of ideas or was this a brilliant side-track?

5 second plot: Marshall finally arrives. So does the mom. She is there to perform with a band. Apparently the lead singer is an evil guy trying to make best friends argue. So there's a lot of arguing. But Ted sets him straight and kicks his ass.

5 second review: I didn't like the arguing, this is supposed to be a fun show. Not much going on besides the arguing. It is pretty cool how everyone meets the mom before Ted does. But besides that there does not seem to be a whole lot of inspiration to keep it interesting, oi?

5 second review: There isn't a lot of new classic comedy stuff happening, now is there? Except for the episode where Walter White makes a cameo (not as WW though). And I do love the way things are set up way ahead. Like the ring-bear. Robin looks extremely pretty, doesn't she?

5 second review: A typical episode: great fun, lots of laughs and a life lesson from Lily at the end.

5 second plot: Everyone is coming from different directions with all possible transportation methods to get to Barney and Scherbatsky's wedding. Lily wins the grand prize for picking the best ride-along. Yep, it's her alright.

5 second review: Smart, funny, light, pretty, exciting,... how is it possible to put all that into one show? I don't know how they do it, but it's done. I must say I really missed the bastards.
