5 second plot: Alan proposes to Lindsey although she already said 'yes' to Larry's proposal. She rejects him and somehow Alan ends up at his ex-wife's house, gets seriously drunk and proposes to her too. And Jenny thinks her girlfriend is going to dump her.

5 second review: Alan is growing into a really nasty old guy, isn't he? There are a whole bunch of stupid sex references, but I still laughed out loud. If it feels like the crew of a TV show is having a lot of fun making it, I seem to have to laugh with everything, even if it's seriously stupid.

Game of Thrones - Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing

5 second plot: With this 14 and a half minutes clip, HBO looks back at the previous season(s) and lets us take a peek at the next one: season 4, that is. If you missed the clip, it should still be available on the site of HBO. We also get to see the actors without their game face on. Which does not always add up, I must say.

5 second review: I can't wait for this party to get started again. What I remembered most about this preview is that the good guys will be fighting back, the dragons have outgrown their 'mother', the sets will be amazing and the next season will be even more spectacular than the previous ones.

Two and a Half Men Season 11 Episode 14: Three Fingers of Creme de Menthe

5 second plot: Alan finds out Lindsey broke up with Larry. But Lindsey only wants to get back together with him if he marries her. Walden tries to prove to everyone that he's a real manly man. Two guesses how that's going to work out for him.

5 second review: Alan makes some weird sex jokes again. It never seems to be funny coming from his mouth. Walden is hilarious trying to be a real man. And what's up with Jenny's girlfriend. Bouyah.

5 second review: Sheldon is hilarious. He makes himself totally unpopular by ignoring Amy on Valentine's Day, but then kisses her and with that, gets himself back in the game.

How I Met Your Mother Season 9 Episode 16: How Your Mother Met Me

5 second plot: This episode is a string of flash-backs of every time Ted and the mom met each other (or caught a glimpse of each other, or almost met each other) over the years.

5 second review: This is an episode for the experienced How I Met Your Mother-viewer. They often do these flashbacks, but this one is different: it feels fresh and it's really cute and fun to watch. It reminded why I love this show so much. Because we have to admit that it hasn't been much fun lately. Hopefully now we're back in business.

Two and a Half Men Season 11 Episode 12: Baseball. Boobs. Boobs. Baseball.

5 second plot: Walden is drawn to the girl that fired him in the previous episode. And she seems to be having the hots for him too. But work has to come first. Meanwhile Alan gets himself a date through Lindsey's new man. He ends up at a swingers party.

5 second review: This is a hilarious episode. Alan pretending to be Ted, and the guy calling his name with the free popcorn? Beautiful. The dialogue is just spot on perfect. Comedy classic, this one. But I keep wondering: where is the half-ling from the show's title?

Jamesy Boy is a big surprise

5 second plot: James is a young guy that gets into trouble all the time. He's been institutionalized since he was 6. He's simply an angry kid. In his teens he gets convicted and put in jail. At first he needs to be the big man on campus, but after a while he realizes he needs to straighten up if he wants to make something of his life.

5 second review: I totally didn't expect it, but I kinda loved this film. The character is worked out really well and played with an enormous eye for detail. Scenes from the past and present move along simultaneously: that creates a perfect pace. Good job.

Lone Survivor will break your heart

5 second plot: This is the real story of four Navy Seals who are sent on a recon mission to identify a Taliban leader. When their mission gets compromised they have to run and fight to survive.

5 second review: This is quite the emotional roller coaster. It starts off light, then it gets extremely tense, next you can feel their pain as they try to survive (you can almost feel the bones cracking as they tumble down a mountain) and then it gets painfully sad. The final images of all the real men that died in this operation are heart breaking beyond imagination.

American Hustle is brilliant

5 second plot: A small scale hustler gets sucked into a huge hustle by a stupid FBI agent that wants to make a name for himself.

5 second review: This is a brilliantly crafted story with amazing performances from everyone involved. It's funny, it's got heart, soul and is perfectly complex.

The Big Bang Theory Season 7 Episode 11: The Cooper Extraction

5 second plot: Sheldon is with his family in Texas for the birth of his nephew. The others imagine what life would be like without him. It wouldn't always be better, so it seems.

5 second review: A great last episode of the year. Sheldon in an uncomfortable situation, Penny steaming hot, Howard shouting at his mom,... great fun.

The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 8: Too Far Gone

5 second plot: The Governor wants the prison. He captures Michonne and Hershell and asks Rick 'friendly' to get the fuck out. Then Rick gives a speech that makes the Governor lose it. Big Time. And shit hits the fence harder than ever before.

5 second review: Oh my god. They found a way to kill the baby. On TV. But I don't think they got away with it. What an epic episode. And what a magnificent tension. If you can do that half way in your fourth season, you can do anything. I cannot believe that we have to wait for half a year to see how this goes.

12 Years a Slave is one of those films

5 second plot: Solomon Northup, a free black man living in New York is kidnapped in 1841 and sold as a slave. He has to deny who he really is in order to survive. The things he has to endure are gruesome beyond imagination.

5 second review: The horrible injustice is almost unbearable to watch. It's unbelievable that human beings where capable of doing these horrific things to other human beings. To put it in other words: this film really got to me. It's not the most cheerful film to watch, but it's a must see. A lesson in history.

Thor: The Dark World is great fun

5 second plot: The Dark Elves are back after a couple thousand of years and want to release some evil red blob when the 9 worlds align, thus destroying the universe. Thor comes to the rescue. His human friends come to his aid.

5 second review: Now that's what I call a fun movie. Sure, not everything adds up (or adds up way too simple), but in return we get spectacular fights and a whole bunch of great laughs. The first movie was too serious (and too plastic), this one is more relaxed. I loved it.

Breaking Bad Season 5 Episode 16: Felina (final episode)

5 second plot: In short: Walt sets everything straight (as much as possible). In long (big spoiler alert): Walt forces Elliot and Gretchen to see that the kids get the money. He says goodbye to his wife and kids. He gives Skyler the location where Hank is buried. He kills all the bad guys (and girl). He saves Jesse. And then he smiles. And dies.

5 second review:  I couldn't have imagined it in a million years, being a big fan of the show, but this is the perfect ending. They couldn't have ended it better.

Don Jon is da bomb

5 second plot: Don Jon is a cool macho dude that gets a lot of girl-attention but mainly focuses on watching porn. All his relationships seem to strand because of his porn-obsession. Then he meets this fabulous girl, Barbara, and tries to change his ways, but it doesn't work out the way he had planned.

5 second review: It's not very often you get to see a movie this beautifully simple. It is very real and absurd at the same time. It's a simple love story. And very funny. And sweet. Although it doesn't seem that way if you read the plot, this is a movie for everybody. Who is older than, let's say 16.

The Big Bang Theory Season 7 Episode 1: The Hofstadter Insufficiency

5 second plot: Leonard is having a lot of fun on his expedition adventure. Sheldon and Penny miss him and seek comfort with each other. Amy and Bernadette are also away from their guys and they are loving the male attention they are getting.

5 second review: The start of a new season for a great show like this is always exciting. It's still brilliant. Great dialogue and great fun.

How I Met Your Mother Season 9 Episode 1-2: The Locket

5 second plot: Everyone is coming from different directions with all possible transportation methods to get to Barney and Scherbatsky's wedding. Lily wins the grand prize for picking the best ride-along. Yep, it's her alright.

5 second review: Smart, funny, light, pretty, exciting,... how is it possible to put all that into one show? I don't know how they do it, but it's done. I must say I really missed the bastards.

Insidious: Chapter 2 scared the living crap out of me

5 second plot: The second chapter starts right after the first one. No time to waste. You would think the family endured enough, but no no no, there is an evil spirit that found its way into our world. It takes some time before the family realizes something's up and then it's almost too late.

5 second review: If you are into ghost stories, this one will scare the living crap out of you. It's a simple but very effective story with a lot of haunting images. And man, I hate mirrors in these ghost movies. The story does come to an abrupt (fulfilling) end but that's just a pitch for Chapter 3, I guess.
