Extinction is only worth 10 mts of your time

5 second plot: A father, a daughter and a neighbor survive a zombie (sort of) apocalypse. They are shacked up in two separate houses and don't have a friendly contact. The daughter feels like it's time to spread her wings and check out the outside world that she has never ever seen. But that might not be such a good idea.

5 second review: This movie is extremely boring for an hour and a half. It only starts getting interesting in the last 10 minutes. A lot of stuff (too much) is left for our imagination to figure out. You've got to give us something man. Like why the fuck is it so cold?

The Gift is very interesting

5 second plot: Simon And Robyn move to a new town to get a fresh start. On the first day there Simon meets a guy from his past (from school). This guy starts showing up at their house, always bringing gifts. And then he starts acting weird.

5 second review: I wasn’t too keen about watching another one of those creepy stalker movies with a guy flipping out and terrorizing people. But this is different. There’s an edge here that’s very interesting. And it stays interesting until the very end.

Vacation is stupid but hilarious

5 second plot: Rusty wants to give his family a holiday they will remember and at the same time relive his own most memorable childhood vacation. So off they go for a road trip to Walley World.

5 second review: This entire movie is over the top awkward and stupid but at the same time brilliant and hilarious. If you have to laugh really hard with the family pictures at the start of the movie, you're going to love the rest of it. If you think it's totally not funny, just stop right there. I laughed my ass off. And I love the Albanian rental car. This car steals every scene it is in.

Mission: Impossible -Rogue Nation is loads of fun

5 second plot: The IMF is no more. Thanks to the CIA. Just now that a huge criminal organization, The Syndicate, pissed Ethan Hunt off by killing one of his contacts. If he doesn’t stop them, they will probably go for world domination (or destruction). So he goes dark and tries to figure out how to take them down. With the CIA on his tail. And a little help from his friends.

5 second review: We’ve got all the classic ingredients for an awesome M:I movie: amazing stunts, cool tech, cool bad guys, breathtaking tension, great chases, invincible heroes,… we’ve even got a beautiful-woman-stepping-out-of-the-pool-in-a-bathing-suit scene. And it is funny as shit. If only every movie were this much fun.

Paper Towns is a lot of fun

5 second plot: Quentin falls in love with Margo from the first moment he lays eyes on her (when they're still kids). They grow apart but then, right before they graduate, they have an adventurous night out. The day after their adventure Margo disappears. Quentin tries to find her by following the clues she left.

5 second review: This is a coming of age story, an adventure, a mystery and a road trip all in one. It's not Ferris Bueller classic stuff, but still, it reminded me of that glorious movie a couple of times. And that's saying something. Sometimes it's a bit more philosophical than it should, but the dialogue is fun and the characters are too.

Pixels is just so very unlikely

5 second plot: Aliens misinterpret a friendly message we sent out into space 30 years ago. They reply by sending Pac-Man and friends to finish us all. Thank god the president knows the runner up of the 1982 video arcade championship personally to help kick some Pac-Man ass.

5 second review: I don't want to be the one pointing out the obvious, but everything that goes on in this movie is very unlikely. And I'm not even talking about a Pac-Man invasion, I'm talking about stuff like Kevin James being the president. But although nothing makes any sense at all, I always love an Adam Sandler movie, I have a soft spot for this guy. Oh, and the visuals are really good.

Trainwreck is ridiculous and awesome

5 second plot: Amy has to write an article about a sports doctor. She hates sports but she falls for the doctor. She's not very good with relationships. She usually goes for the one night stand (without the sleepover). So she's not sure how she's going to pull off this relationship thing.

5 second review: This is a totally flipped out romantic comedy. The dialogue is completely ridiculous and awesomely funny. The slapstick is perfect. And everyone in the movie is hilarious. But if you're not down with all this ridiculousness, it's best to stay far away from this one.

Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Episode 1: The Siege of Lothal

5 second plot: Vader wants to squeeze Lothal (Ezra’s home planet) until someone spills the beans on where the rebels are. Our small team of rebels is now part of the official rebel fleet. They go to Lothal to save a minister of the Empire who has fallen from grace. But when they get there, they run into Darth Vader. And they quickly realize he’s out of their league.

5 second review: I don’t understand the point of a season premiere in June if the season will only really start in October. But I’m not complaining. Vader is awesome. He’s all powerful, taking the entire rebel fleet on by himself. I don’t think he will be returning a lot in the rest of the season because he's simply too powerful at this moment.

Self/less is a stupid title

5 second plot: Damian is a very rich guy who is dying of cancer. He learns about a procedure where they transfer a person's mind into another (lab grown) body. He goes ahead with it but then quickly starts to realize there's something wrong. The organisation behind the technology is not happy with him asking questions.

5 second review: I don't like this 'convenient' story telling where clues come flying in the lead character's face whenever needed. There are some good action sequences but also a couple of very boring segments. These should have stayed on the cutting room floor.

The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened? is only for enthusiasts

5 second plot: This is a documentary of the 1998 Superman movie that didn't get made. It was featuring Nicolas Cage as Superman, had Tim Burton directing it and Kevin Smith as one of the writers. A lot of people worked on concepts for the movie but a couple of weeks before production the studio pulled the plug.

5 second review: You have to be a movie and/or comic buff to enjoy this documentary. There wasn't a lot of budget to make something decent. But almost all the big players are interviewed and there's some great archive footage and concept art. It's about more than just one movie, it's an insiders peek into the process of making a studio film.

Terminator Genisys is pretty damn cool

5 second plot: In 2029 humanity defeats the machines. But the machines use their last resort: they send back a Terminator to 1984 to kill John Connor's mother. So John sends back his right hand to stop this from happening. But he doesn't find the same mom John told him about. So he will have to improvise a little bit.

5 second review: It's all the crazy time travelling logic from the previous movies in the mix. I think I got lost somewhere along the line but who cares? Cool explosions! The special effects, action sequences and one liners are over the top but I still had a lot of fun watching it all. Wait for the surprise after the end credits.
