The Americans Episode 1: Pilot
2 sec plot: Story about a Russian spy couple in the USA and their everyday routine.
2 sec review: Pretty well made, but not my cup of tea, not so into this 'real' spy stuff.

Bullet to the Head
5 second plot: Hitman gets set up and is out for revenge. He teams up with a cop. They quickly find out that shit runs all the way up.
5 second review: The action sequences are pretty decent, but the rest of the movie is crap. It's a Lethal Weapon wannabee with really shitty dialogue.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters
5 second plot: H&G start killing witches from a very young age. Now they are all grown up and face their biggest challenge yet.
5 second review: Sometimes really bad CGI and often really stupid dialogue, but still a lot of fun, thanks to the entertainment value of the cast, the foul mouths and the kick ass bloody killings.

Resolution is really boring
5 second plot: Michael tries to save his friend Chris from a drug addiction by locking him up in a cabin for a week. But then strange stuff starts happening and someone is leaving them clues for one reason or another.
5 second review: I only got halfway through the picture. Is this boring or what? Jesus. And very poorly made and even more poorly acted. I couldn't care less about what was going to happen. Kill them already and be done with it.

The Following Season 1 Episode 1-7
5 second plot: A serial killer figures out a way to create a large group of 'followers'. These nut jobs will do anything he tells them to do. So he can even orchestrate his crazy plans from prison.
5 second review: Everyone I know loves this show, but I didn't connect with it. I only saw the first 7 episodes and then realized I didn't give a shit about what was going to happen. My biggest problem is the central bad guy. I don't like the way the character is set up. I'm not convinced. And by the way: this is the most wanted criminal in the country and he escapes 2 times in the first 7 episodes... Not cool.

Mama
5 second plot: Two little girls are left alone in the woods. They are found after five years. To survive they seem to have created an imaginary mother figure. Or not. Imaginary.
5 second review: They do not come darker than this movie. Holy craps, this one is so dark it's wicked to realize that someone had the balls to make it. Suck it, Harry Potter.

Gangster Squad is some piece of work
5 second review: There is a lot to love about this movie: the dialogue, the sets, costumes, atmosphere, performances,... it's all very well done. It gets pretty violent, but it's also light and funny at the same time. And let us not forget Emma Stone. Wow.
