5 second plot: Astronaut Mark Watney is left behind on Mars, presumed dead, after his team had to evacuate due to a huge storm. Mark decides he is not going to die there. He will have to find a way to call home and grow food with the limited supplies he's got.
5 second review: You know you're in good hands from the very beginning. This story kicks off right away. No time is wasted on the set up. It's smart, funny (very good call to keep it light) and it feels very real. Not just the science. Emotionally as well. It's totally awesome.
