Ip Man has some great ass kicking

5 second plot: Ip Man is an extremely nice fellow who also happens to be an unbeatable martial arts master. Everything is well, until Japanese troops invade China. His home town is almost completely destroyed. Ip Man brings hope for not giving in to the oppression.

5 second review: For me, this movie is too poorly made to be in the IMDb top 250 list. The colors, the sound, the stages, the acting,... it's not all that good. But the fight scenes are amazing. And the message that is given is also fantastic.

Lake Mungo doesn't go anywhere

5 second plot: A girl drowns in a lake. In the weeks after her death her family starts hearing noises in the house. And then the image of their daughter/sister starts appearing in photographs and videos.

5 second review: I'm not too big to admit that this movie gave me the creeps multiple times. It's filmed in a documentary style and it feels really real. Too bad the entire story builds up slowly to a climax that isn't there. There are some good moments halfway through, but the finale is too little too late.

Martyrs is goddamn nasty

5 second plot: A young woman seeks revenge for horrible things that were done to her when she was a child. Her friend tries to help her but finds more than she bargained for.

5 second review: You have to have a very good stomach to get through this one. It's a very violent, terrifying, nasty, extremely tough watch. You can't survive this by covering your eyes for just a second, because it's still nasty when you look again. And just as you think you got through the worst part, it gets even worse. I think I'm scarred for life by this one.

Slumdog Millionaire is quite a ride

5 second plot: Jamal, a young Indian boy from the slums is about to win big bucks on the TV Show 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire?'. They arrest him under suspicion of fraud. He explains to the detective why he knows all the answers. This explanation is the story of his tough life trying to survive. With one upside: his life long love for the beautiful Latika.

5 second review: It's a sad but beautiful story. Told in a very interesting way. As if the director was afraid we would fall asleep. The Indian-American mash-up feels strange from time to time, but overall there is little or nothing to complain about. Two thumbs up.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 1 is a whole bunch of info

5 second plot: In the Clone Wars the good guys, The Republic (Yoda, Anakin, Obi-Wan, clones and friends), are fighting the evil Separatists (Count Dooku, Grievous, droids and friends). Anakin’s got a padawan, Ahsoka. And he is still secretly seeing Padme.

5 second review: It’s great to get extra information on a whole lot of characters (old and new) and learn about all sorts of weapons, ships, creatures, worlds,… The lightsaber fights are good and the warship battles are often epic. You can feel Anakin’s fight with his dark side. He’s great with his padawan. The animation is a bit ‘wooden’ but I guess that’s part of the package.

Two and a Half Men Season 6: nickname Mad Dog

5 second plot: Charlie tries the long term relationship thing. He makes it to the end of the season. The biggest crush Alan has is on his receptionist. But then he sleeps with her mother. Almost. Oh, and he also sleeps with his ex-wife and probably made her pregnant. But Herb doesn't know.

5 second review: Where do they keep getting all this funny stuff? Everyone turns his or hers funnyness up a notch. Some new brilliantly funny characters: the big guy next door with the beautiful daughter Jake is fond of? Charlie's pharmacist? One question on the side though: when is Alan going to realize he is gay?
