Intouchables makes you feel warm inside

5 second plot: Philippe is a very rich man who is paralyzed from the neck down. He needs someone to take care of him 24/7. By 'accident' he crosses paths with Driss, a young guy with a good hart who lives in the projects. Somehow they connect and become friends.

5 second review: It's unbelievable that this is a true story. It's the most positive, uplifting and warm tale you could ever come across. And I must say I also laughed my ass off. This Driss guy is seriously funny. A beautiful film.

Entrance is extremely boring

5 second plot: Girl talks to friend, girl walks dog, girl feeds dog, girl goes to work, girl gets her hair done,... you get the idea, right?

5 second review: I'm sorry, but I only saw 20 mts of this film. I had to stop because it bored the living shit out of me. It's just random images (filmed with a cheap camcorder) of a girl doing everyday stuff. Yawn. It probably gets very interesting further on, but I wouldn't know.

Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope is all about the people

5 second plot: A documentary of Comic-Con: the four day convention uniting geeks from around the world in their celebration of comics and all high-end stuff related to that. Or not.

5 second review: This documentary is more about the people than about the convention itself. And I am more interested in the latter. So this was kind of a bummer for me.

Duck Dynasty Season 1 Episode 1: Family Funny Business

5 second plot: This is the real life story of a Louisiana family that runs a multi million dollar business making duck calls (Duck Commander) but still lives in the backwoods and stays true to its old school Louisiana lifestyle.

5 second review: I haven't had this much fun with a TV series in a long time. It's so laugh out loud funny, it's hard to believe the whole thing isn't set up. But even then it would still be really funny.

The Woman in Black has got some good scares up her sleeve

5 second plot: A young lawyer has to go through all the documents of a recently deceased woman to make sure the firm he works for has her final will. He quickly finds out that there's a ghost in her house: a woman in black. And every time she is seen, a child dies in the town nearby.

5 second review: This is a straightforward scary ghost movie with a rather thin story. There's not much happening, but the location is very creepy and there are a couple of genuinely good scares. The question remains why people keep living nearby if they're convinced their kids will die a horrible death (most likely).

In Darkness is a tough look

5 second plot: It's the true story of a Polish man who hides a group of Jewish refugees in the sewers in World War II.

5 second review: It's gruesome. It made me gasp for air a couple of times. Quite an achievement for a filmmaker, if you can grab people by the throat and make them remember not to forget this horrible recent past.

The Artist is lovely

5 second plot: George Valentin is a big movie star in silent movies. He meets a beautiful young dancer at the start of her career. When silent movies become talkies she rises to stardom but George's star slowly fades.

5 second review: How in the world does a movie idea like this get picked up by a production company? And who in the world would expect this movie to do this well? I would not have guessed it in a million years. It's weird, because it's a silent movie about the birth of talking movies. But it's lovely. And Peppy is such a sweetheart. I love her.

American Horror Story Season 1

5 second plot: A family (wife, cheating husband and daughter) move into a haunted house, known as 'murder house' (because... well... a lot of murders took place there). All the spirits of all the deceased are still floating around and make the life of the family quite difficult.

5 second review: It's pretty well done, this show. You would think it would become boring very fast, but that's not the case. It stays quite interesting the whole time. But, you have to be willing to go with the flow, because the shit they pull with ghosts and spirits and god and the devil... is pretty crazy.

Two and a Half Men Season 9

5 second plot: Well, Charlie is dead. Long live Walden. Alan gets serious with Lindsey. Her son is Jake's best friend. These two boneheads are as dumb as it can get. Walden divources and gets serious a bit later with British Zoey. And somewhere along the line Walden finds out his brother is a gorilla.

5 second review: It is brilliantly funny again. Ashton Kutcher is the best. It is kind of a strange situation with Alan not being family and living in Walden's house. The throwing up episode is a classic. Tears in my eyes.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 4 is filled with disturbances

5 second plot: The 4th season starts with a big underwater battle. Then C3PO and R2D2 have some adventures on their own. Followed by a disastrous mission on a dark planet due to a jedi general gone mad. Then slave handlers piss Anakin off. And he even gets more angry when someone kills Obi-Wan. The season ends with Darth Maul and his brother vs Obi-Wan (he's not really dead you know) and Ventress.

5 second review: There's some cool new stuff, awesome warriors, great light-saber fights and space-battles but the best part is seeing Anakin lose it. We all know how where he's headed. Grievous pops up a lot since he's a great villain. Jar Jar is still annoying. And there's a lot of 'I feel a disturbance in the force' going about.
