Baby Driver rules
5 second plot: Baby is a getaway driver. He's very young, but he's the best in the business. He doesn't want to be a criminal, but he can't seem to get out. When he falls in love, things get complicated.
5 second review: It doesn't happen very often that you get to see a movie so cool and slick that you want to watch it again right after you saw it. This is one of those movies. Jamie Foxx's character is the only false note, everything else is film fan heaven.

La La Land should have been all fun
5 second plot: Girl meets boy. Girl convinces boy to go for his dream. Boy convinces girl to go for her dream. Sing. Dance.
5 second review: I really don't like singing and dancing in the movies, but I had to see what the fuss was all about. The leads are perfect together, the dialogue is fun and playful, the colors are spectacular but (BIG spoiler alert) I would have preferred an all out happy picture instead of the sour grape ending. It would have been a better fit.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is funny shit
5 second plot: This is the story of the rise and fall of pop star legend Connor 4 Real. He and his friends start a band. When they get famous the band falls apart and Connor goes solo. But he doesn't handle his fame well and takes things too far. And then it all comes crashing down.
5 second review: This is a light, ridiculous, fun comedy with great pop and rock star cameos. If you're not into stupid politically incorrect jokes, it might be better to steer away from this one.
IMDb score: 7/10

Green Room gets fired up eventually
5 second plot: A struggling punk rock band takes on a gig playing for hot headed neo-Nazis led by Captain Picard. They end up fighting for their lives after they witness something they shouldn't have.
5 second review: The set-up takes a its sweet time but when shit really hits the fan this slow burner transforms into a really awesome movie. Awesome meaning: full on carnage.

A Very Murray Christmas is a very merry musical
5 second plot: Bill Murray is doing a live show in New York but it's a blizzard outside so none of his guests have made it. He thinks about giving up, but then Chris Rock arrives and everything just seems to take off from that moment on.
5 second review: Directed by Sofia Coppola, lots of singing, lots of famous people and very Christmassy. But also rather boring. And too much singing for me. It's my mistake though, I thought this was going to be funny (you know: B.M. and all...). If you like cozy fluffy warm Christmas musicals, this is for you.

Rock the Kasbah is a strange mix
5 second plot: Bill Murray is a rock tour manager who hasn't been very successful lately. Destiny brings him to Afghanistan where he discovers a young woman with a beautiful voice. Now all he's got to do is defy all the local traditions, get his new talent on TV and not get everyone killed in the process.
5 second review: The mix of fact and fiction; humor and social comment is sometimes confusing. He might be a smooth talker, but no way he could convince anyone this easy in real life. Bill Murray is great (so is everyone else as a matter of fact; even Bruce Willis). It's the kind of role where he gets to say 'I'm not a loser; I'm a quitter' without even blinking.

We Are Your Friends comes close
5 second plot: Cole is looking for his big break as a DJ. He and his buddies really want to get out of the Valley. Together with his new hot shot DJ friend and his girlfriend Cole tries to find his own sound.
5 second review: I guess you have to be a fan of electronic music to like this. I dug it, but I don't know if there's a big enough audience for this. It's not just about DJ-ing, but also about friendship and love. And about being a good person and dreaming out loud.

Straight Outta Compton is dope
5 second review: Good sound, good performances and it seems that no-one's career was harmed in the making of the film. (No-one that matters today anyway.) So I guess it's all good.

Whiplash is the shit
5 second plot: Andrew is a drum student who wants to be the best. At his music conservatory (the best music school in the country) he needs to impress a psychopathic (drill) instructor who gets really really really angry if a student fucks up. Even if it's a little bit.
5 second review: J.K. Simmons is the shit. His body language, his facial expression, his voice,... this guy is awesome. He's a fucking lunatic, but awesome. I was personally scared shitless for anyone to fuck up. Miles Teller stand his ground though. He doesn't get blown away one bit.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Season 1 Episode 76: Jennifer Lopez/Keenen Ivory Wayans
5 second plot: Tonight the show is broadcasting from the Universal Orlando Resort. Jimmy starts the show with clips of Brian Williams (the news anchor) edited to look like he's rapping. Then Jimmy and his sidekick buy the perfect Harry Potter wand. Jennifer Lopez is next to promote her new album A.K.A. And Keener Ivory Wayans pops in to talk about Last Comic Standing.
5 second review: The Roots must be the coolest band in showbiz, right? Jimmy is one hell of a performer, entertainer and seems to be a really nice guy. J-Lo did not look like the cover of her album at all. But I must say her performance is quite a blast.

Conan Season 4 Episode 100: Eric McCormack
5 second plot: Conan organizes an NBA mascots dunk contest with mascots that should never dunk. After that, Eric McCormack is on the show to pitch the start of the new season of Perception. Next up is best selling author Michael Lewis. And to round things up: stand up comedy from Roy Wood, Jr.
5 second review: Crazy fun with the mascots. Great stories from all the guests. And Roy Wood, Jr. is a really great comedian. He has the smartest joke build ups I have ever heard.

Conan Season 4 Episode 99: Jack White
5 second plot: Conan starts the show with his clueless review of the game Super Smash Bros. Jack White pops in to talk about all sorts of stuff and to perform some songs from his new album. Amber Stevens drops by to talk about her movie 22 Jump Street.
5 second review: Conan doing these game reviews is always great. Because he gets to play amazing games in extreme preview, but he doesn't give a shit. So he's giving comments no-one else would ever come up with. Jack White is amazing. What an inspirational artist. Amber Stevens is really jolly and super-beautiful.

Conan Season 4 Episode 98: Cobie Smulders
5 second plot: Conan and Andy have some fun with Hilary Clinton. Next up they test the Wiki Bear. Then from the new movie They Came Together, Cobie Smulders is on the show. Next Jenny Slate from the movie Obvious Child. And also comedian Ian Edwards, who's got a new album out called 100% Half-Assed.
5 second review: I love Cobie Smulders but I still hate what they did to How I Met Your Mother. Jenny Slate has got some great energy going on there! And Ian Edwards is hilarious. Spot on funny.

Conan Season 4 Episode 97: Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill
5 second plot: Conan made some new lists for Buzzfeed. Apparently they were running out. Conan and Andy go over some things that have never, ever been said. Their guests of the evening are the stars of 22 Jump Street, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. And the musical guest is Group Love.
5 second review: A strange episode, with just one guest (well, two in one). I was afraid Conan was going to run out of stuff to talk about. The inside stories the guys bring, are really cool and funny.

Conan Season 4 Episode 96: Jon Favreau
5 second plot: Conan's crew falls apart because someone (Andy) distributed rice crispy treats spiced with marijuana. Jon Favreau is on the show to talk about his movie Chef. And food, of course. Rob Riggle is next to talk about 22 Jump Street. And pubic hair. And Conan's musical guest is Echosmith.
5 second plot: Rob Riggle is funny by nature. Just looking at him makes me laugh. I had never heard of Echosmith. But I'm glad I have now. What an amazing band.

Conan Season 4 Episode 95: Emily Blunt
5 second plot: First up is a Fan Correction. But of course: the fan is totally wrong. Emily Blunt is next to talk about Edge of Tomorrow and punching guys in the balls. Brent Morin from Undateable is next. And musical guest Bob Mould brings it home.
5 second review: The monologue is really smart and funny. Especially the Burt's Bees topic with the quadruple punch line. Emily Blunt is very beautiful, very funny and has got a great accent. Love that.

Conan Season 4 Episode 94: Jane Fonda
5 second plot: First up is The Star Wars Nerdgasm Choir. Next Conan and Andy have some fun laughing with the Google Self Driving Car. Then crazy infobutton results in What Am I Watching. Conan's first guest is the legendary Jane Fonda. Then Ramón RodrÃguez from the TV show Gang Related. And musical guest Twin Shadow.
5 second review: Not as fun as usually, but it's always great to see Conan interview a legend. Ramón RodrÃguez is really relaxed. He seems to be a fun guy.

Conan Season 4 Episode 93: Kellan Lutz
5 second plot: Conan kicks off the show with a little thing called Coffee Table Books That Didn't Sell. After that Kellan Lutz is on to talk about his inventions and The Expendables 3. Next up is Kate McKinnon from Saturday Night Live. And then stand-up comedy from Gary Vider.
5 second review: Conan's monologue and the Coffee Table Book segment is really good. Why did I notice that? Because it's not always this smart and funny. (But no worries Conan, I'm always laughing, even when it's really stupid.) Kate McKinnon is da bomb. Shy Stallone is off the charts funny.

Ellen Page is next to pitch her new X-Men movie and talk about her pubic hair dreams. Next up is actor and comedian Bob Saget who wrote his memoirs. And finally musical guest Jennifer Nettles.
5 second review: Oh man, I almost choked with laughter. Conan dives in a couple of times, not knowing where he'll end up and of course, it goes horribly wrong. Fantastic comedy.

Conan Season 4 Episode 91: Norm Macdonald and Mackenzie Davis
5 second plot: First up: Conan brings us the results of his latest Celebrity Survey. Then actor and comedian Norm Macdonald is on. He wants to become a talk-show host. Next up is Mackenzie Davis who stars in the new show Halt and Catch Fire. And finally musical guest Veruca Salt. They almost tear the roof off.
5 second review: Norm Macdonald is completely nuts. If you dig him, you will cry with laughter. Personally, I think he's a comedy genius. Conan gets away with saying 'you're a gorgeous woman' again. Multiple times again. To a gorgeous woman! And she replies that she loves him! How can he not be every man's hero?
